Our Mission: To produce safer, more proficient pilots through specialized training of the highest quality.

The Flight Academy was formed in 2002 by Luke Lysen and John Fiscus to meet the need for skilled, specialized flight training in Cirrus aircraft nationwide. Our style of training takes advantage of full immersion allowing our clients to learn new skills and then cement them in place. Our versatility allows us to come to our clients, anywhere in the world.

Initially based out of Seattle, WA The Flight Academy added a second location in Las Vegas, NV in 2005. We also have individual instructors places around the United States. You can train at any of our locations or we can work with you at your home base.

We are a Cirrus Standardized Training Center and an active, supporting members of the Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association (COPA). Our instructors are all high-time Cirrus pilots, personally vetted and trained by Luke and John, and represent some of the most skilled Cirrus experts in the world.

A cancellation fee of 10% of the estimated invoice will be charged if instruction is canceled after it has been scheduled and confirmed by the customer. If canceled within one week of the scheduled start date, 25% of the estimated invoice will be charged. An additional 25% will be charged, bringing the total cancellation fee to 50% of the estimate, if the instruction is canceled once the instructor has been dispatched (usually the day before or day of the scheduled start date).
