Day 1

Scenic Seattle Stopover

The trip commences in beautiful Seattle, Washington- home to breathtaking landscapes, high-tech and coffee giants, and of course, The Flight Academy.

Accommodations this evening will be at a first-class hotel on Lake Washington.  Tonight we will gather for a champagne toast and a welcome dinner overlooking the water.  This will be a nice opportunity to wind down after a day of flying, meet and mingle with your fellow travelers and sample some of the delicious regional flavors of the Pacific Northwest.

The next morning, following breakfast at the hotel, we will gather in the lobby for transportation back to Renton Field for a flight briefing, where we will discuss the route of flight and check the weather before departing for Alaska.

Journey to Alaska

Homer, Alaska

The flight portion of the trip officially begins with unprecedented views of breathtaking scenery. Fly up the majestic Inside Passage via the Canadian coastal route. View forests, wildlife, mountains and waterways along the beautiful and untouched British Columbian Coast and into the Alaskan Panhandle.

We will be making a stop for fuel and to eat our lunches in beautiful Juneau, Alaska’s capital city located on the pristine waterfront of the Gastineau Channel.

From Juneau, our final destination will be near Homer, on Kachemak Bay. Homer goes by many names but has long been known as the “Halibut Fishing Capital of the World”. It’s home to great fishing, kayaking, bear viewing and hiking.

Days 2-5

Stillpoint Lodge

Across the bay you’ll find Stillpoint Lodge, an exclusive, luxury resort nestled on the edge of the wilderness. Here you’ll find the very best of Alaska; the diverse wildlife of Kachemak Bay, Alaska’s finest cuisine and the most exciting excursions that the offers. Stillpoint Lodge was built with the intention to live in harmony with nature, so you’ll have the opportunity to witness playful sea otters up close, experience epic opportunities for bird and whale watching, bear viewing, and world class fishing. All set against a backdrop of glaciers and stunning mountain views.

You’ll be staying in private log cabins, built among the trees. Each cabin is unique and charming, and provides breathtaking scenic views to start and end each day. Each meal will be made from fresh, locally grown and harvested foods. You’ll even be able to walk through the edible garden and help yourself to the fresh fruits and vegetables that grow there.

We have arranged two unforgettable excursions for you to enjoy during your stay at Stillpoint; bear viewing and glacier kayaking. The lodge also provides kayaks and stand up paddle boards to use, with guided tours of the cove available. Additional activities such as fishing are also available. In addition to the stunning views, outdoor adventure, and delicious food, be sure to enjoy

the massage that’s included in your visit!
